Windows Phone 7 Series Name Change

Windows-phone When even Microsoft’s own employees start making jokes about a product name, you know it was a bad choice. In this case, the company decided to shorten Windows Phone 7 Series.


From now on, the operating system will be called Windows Phone 7 which brings it closer to the Windows 7 desktop OS. Until this announcement, Microsoft employees where obligated to use the full length name in every discussion.
