With the new naming of Windows Mobile 7 to Windows Phone 7 Series, Microsoft has announced it will also be renaming Windows Mobile 6.5 to Windows Mobile Classic.
The name change will happen as the Windows Phone 7 Series devices hit the shelves. Microsoft will also alter the business models for both systems. Windows Mobile Classic will become the primary line for emerging markets and business users while Windows Phone 7 Series will target consumers.
