Recently, developers have started complaining over turnaround times at the App Hub, Microsoft’s certification team. From January to March, the waiting time has been increased with a full business day.
Microsoft’s Todd Brix explained that the problems originate from the increasing amount of apps the team has to handle. In the same period, the marketplace grew with 60% to nearly 80.000 apps. During the same period, the number of markets where apps are being sold nearly doubled as well to 54.
Microsoft is looking to optimize the service and will make major changes over the summer. Over the past days, minor changes have been made already, reducing waiting time with half a day compared to ten days ago.
