Wilcom Sets Vista as Mobile Gaming Platform!?

April 17th, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Development Platforms | No Comments »

SharpWilcom has developed a new smartphone which is running on Windows Vista. Though the initial release is planned only for Japan, Sharp might be taking it abroad.

The device will set you back a sweet $ 800, but it gives you the power of a small laptop to play around with. The CPU runs at 1,33 Ghz and has 1 GB of memory, combined with a 40 GB HDD. The device is equipped with a full QUERTY keyboard and also has a touchscreen.

If Sharp will introduce this mean machine outside of Japan, developers will get a lot of competition when it comes to developing mobile games for it as basically any Vista game should run on it without problems.
