During a RIM keynote at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium, Research In Motion co-CEO Jim Balsillie announced that BlackBerry App World is generating 1 million downloads a day, only 12 months after launch.
Currently, the platform is hosting 6.000 apps, which is far behind the App Store from Apple that hosted roughly 50.000 apps after a year of service. RIM also announced that App World registered roughly 20 million users. This is nearly half of the BlackBerry owners.
