According to an interview with BusinessWeek, HP’s CEO Leo Apotheker claims the company will have WebOS running on every PC they sell in 2012.
As expected, WebOS will be sitting next to Windows 7 in the hope consumers prefer WebOS over Microsoft’s product. This move was already expected and will greatly expand the userbase, something developers will need to hear in order to start developing for the platform as HP’s app store is still far from stuffed. We only wonder why HP won’t start selling WebOS devices outside major markets. Perhaps there is something to gain there as well.
