Palm has announced that is has started to accept paid apps for their WebOS aimed App Store. This way, mobile game developers can finally start earning money from Palm Pre owners.
Apps that are currently submitted will be prepared for launch mid september. Palm will then open up their Beta store which allows paid downloads. Needless to say, a beta store brings in some risk, but at least you will be amongst the first that consumers notice.
Consumers will be able to complete their purchases with Visa and Mastercard (which might rule out youngsters) and developers will receive a 70% kickback.
