Warner Bros will soon be launching Inception on Blu-Ray, DVD etc. To promote the movie, Warner Bros has thought out a very entertaining mobile marketing campaign.
Part of the marketing campaign is the Inception Mobile Architect app for iPhone and Android. It will allow users to bend horizons in a similar way it happens inside the movie. The app users GPS data and Google Maps imagery to create this effect.
The second part of the marketing happens via SnapTag. Consumers are triggered to make photo’s of Inception SnapTags and e-mail them to a designated e-mail address. Depending on the date, they will get special Inception rewards like videos and ringtones.
