Vodafone Reduces Dataroaming Costs

Today, Vodafone announced it will lower dataroaming costs in 16 countries in Europe. The costs in this story are based on the Dutch branch of Vodafone.

Vodafone will be offering consumers a pay as you go model where they pay €2 a day for 35MB dataroaming. For heavy users, Vodafone will have a €5 a month subscription in which 1GB of foreign data can be consumed.

The new pricing is valid in Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Malta, Austria, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Czech Republic, UK, Swiss and of course The Netherlands. According to the operator, 80% of roaming traffic takes place in these countries. With this step, the international use of apps could be boosted.
