Vivendi Shuts US Operator Business

November 10th, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Companies & M&A | No Comments »

A few weeks ago, we reported about Vivendi Games Mobile pulling out of the market. Though there where no real steps taken back then, we heard that the shutdown has started.

According to our sources, Vivendi has informed US operators that it is shutting down. There is no news yet on what will happen with the content, but when browsing networks like Twitter, it is clear that last Friday was the last working day for several employees of the company.

We haven't received an official statement from the company, but more news will follow shortly. As always, MGB will keep tracking the issue.
