October 8th, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Companies & M&A | No Comments »

With the closing of Ojom, Verisign already exited mobile game development. Now by selling their remaining Jamba shares to News Corp, the company exits mobile in total.

News Corp acquired the remaining 49% of Jamba for the sum of $200 million. Newc Corp had bought 51% of Jamba from Verisign in 2007. The company then paid $ 187 million which means Jamba has increased in value. Verisign bought Jamba in 2004 for $ 273 in 2004 which means the company made a big profit on the sale.
