Unity Technologies, the provider of the well known middleware, announced that 1 million developers are registered to their services. On top of that, the engine and tools had over 6 million downloads to date.
At the end of 2012, Unity had 250.000 developers signed up. A year later, the number grew to 750.000 developers leading to the one million in their system today. The monthly active developer base is currently 300.000 and all developers together put 2.5 million hours of creative work in Unity in the past month alone. The company expects to further grow the number of developers as it expands in Asia, LATAM and Eastern Europe.
