Unity has launched the third instance of its successful 3D engine for iOS, Mac, Android, PC, PS3, Wii, X360 and Webbrowsers. Unity Engine 3 had been delayed several times already.
The strength of Unity lays in the editor that allows development of a single project and deployment to multiple platforms. This is likely the reason EA recently signed up with the company.
