This morning, we received the word that the iPhone might get it’s very own mobile gaming controller through the creative guys over at iControlPad.
Though the controller is still fully in development, and the website claims to be aiming primarily to jailbreaked iPhone owners, the controller opens up a lot of possibilities for the mobile gaming industry.
When gamers apply the new joystick to their iPhone’s, it instantly turns the device into a PSP shaped gaming device with touch screen. We can only say “How cool is that!?”
The website offers a devkit, but from the outside we can’t say if it will work for the many developers that are already developing iPhone mobile games via Apple’s SDK.
