Another industry mammoth falls to the ground as porting specialist Tira
Wireless seems to be closing down. Yes it’s rumor time again here at
MGB.
Earlier this week we received word from several developers that Tira Wireless seemed to be closing down. We started to investigate the rumors by e-mailing the general contact addresses, but all mails bounced.
We also mailed to several contact persons within the company. We didn’t got bounces but also no replies on our requests. From what we heard from our sources in the market, the CTO already left in December, and also the SVP is about to move to another company. This while Games on Deck reported Tira as the fastest growing wireless company last October (2007).
