Recently a lot of news has been spread about the upcoming 3G iPhone model from iPhone. Since the iPhone is one of the biggest mobile gaming platforms, we wrote a round-up on the latest rumours.
According to Engadget, Apple will introduce the new version during the World Wide Developer Conference in June. The device should already be in the hands of several testers.
For network operators, the 3G iPhone is very interesting for data revenues. The iPhone users burn about 10 times as much data then the Blackberry crowd. For AT&T, the launch partner of the first iPhone, this means they have to start to expand their 3G network which now only works in a number of big cities. For EU and Asian operators, this shouldn’t be a problem.
In regards to exclusivity, Apple seems to be loosen the rules a bit. Italia already has been announced as one of the countries where multiple carriers will sell the device in the same territory. In Italy’s case the deal goes to TIM and Vodafone.
