Tech-Ed: 2.000 Apps for Windows Phone

November 9th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: Windows Phone | No Comments »

During Tech-Ed, Brandon Watson from Microsoft told Dutch IT site Tweakers.net that Windows Marketplace for Windows Phone 7 is currently hosting 2.000 unique apps.

The number is very small compared to Android Market and the App Store, but Brandon explains it is not about the number of apps, but if a consumer can find the app he or she is looking for. With many of the major developers and portals on board, consumers have nothing to fear if they make the jump.
