MWC: Windows Mobile to coexist with Windows Phone

It seems the introduction of Windows Phone 7 Series will not be the end of Windows Mobile 6.5. According to a Microsoft spokesman, both platforms will continue to sell in 2011.

Microsoft Releases Windows Mobile 6.5 SDK

I have to admit that since I installed Windows Mobile 6.5 on my HTC Touch Pro, I am finally satisfied with the platform (and actually feel like a happy WM user for the first time). Now, the company has released their 6.5 SDK.

Microsoft has chosen to delay the release of Windows Mobile 6.5. 6.5 is meant to be bridging the gap between Windows Mobile 6.5 and Windows Mobile 7.

Windows Mobile 6.5 Release on May 11th?

According to a blogpost at Microsoft, the new Windows Mobile 6.5 will be released toward developers on the eleventh of May. The date is in-line with Microsoft’s Tech Ed conference.

Windows Mobile adds Widgets

Following the success of many smaller OS's, Microsoft has finally decided to start adding Widgets to Windows Mobile. The Widget platform will be available from Windows Mobile 6.5 onward.
