Nielsen: Consumers Download More Apps than Ever!

A new report from Nielsen shows consumers are downloading more apps than ever before. Currently, the average U.S. consumer has 41 apps installed. That’s 28% up from 32 apps a year before.

Microsoft to Charge for Bing API Usage

Following in Google’s footsteps, Bing has now grown enough to start charging developers for usage of the Bing search API’s. Free usage of the API’s will disappear in the next couple of months.

Chinese Developers Bypass Google Play

Though many Android developers rely heavily on Google Play, those in China seem to ignore Google’s app store. Instead, developers prefer to deliver the .apk files direcly to the consumer.

Localytics: 6% of iPad App Sessions on 3G/4G

With over three million new iPad’s sold in three days, Apple proves it is still dominating. We visited a local Dixons at midnight to check the interest in the 4G version of the iPad and found out 28% of the people wanted one.

Localytics: Many Apps Used Only Once

Nielsen: iTunes Best and Windows Marketplace Worst App Store

Nielsen has surveyed 4.000 consumers about their usage of app stores. The survey shows that consumers are very satisfied about Apple, but are less happy with Microsoft’s efforts.

OIVO: Belgian Teens and their Mobiles
