NPD: Android Sales Overtake iPhone OS

For the first time, the sales of Android powered devices overtook the iPhone sales in North America during the first quarter of 2010. Apple sunk only to the third position on the sales charts.

iPhone Missing for US Top 5 Smartphones

Verizon to launch Second Droid

Following the successful launch of the Morotola Droid by Verizon Wireless, the US operator will now use the HTC Incredible as the new handset they will sell under the Droid label.

Apple Starts Selling iPhones in the US

Apple has started to sell iPhones in the US without the obligation to enter into a new contract with operator AT&T. The iPhones will however be simlocked to the AT&T network.

iPhone Leading Sales in the US

In Nielsen’s latest report, the analyst shows that the iPhone is now holding 4% of the market. With this achievement, Apple has beaten the BlackBerry in one of the most important markets. BB is now second with 3.7% for the 8300 series devices.

Nielsen’s Top 10 Mobile Games in the U.S.

Nielsen has released their top 10 mobile games for the U.S. operator market in 2008. Not surprisingly, Tetris is still leading the charts with an overall revenue of 7.0%.
