SK Telecom Plans App Store

Sk-telecom Cnet found out that South Korean operator SK Telecom is planning to launch it’s own App Store. The eta version is planned to be available in June whereas the full commercial launch will be along September.

Pwn2Own 5 Smartphone OS’s Remain Unhacked

During the Pwn2Own hackers event, organizer Tippingpoint challenged the hackers to find exploits for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Mobile. In the case that an exploit would be found, that hacker would be awarded $10K.

On the Symbian Foundation blog, David Wood revealed Symbian's plans to do a major release of the platform every six months. The Symbian versions that are currently in production are Symbian^2, Symbian^3 and Symbian^4.

Symbian UIQ Files for Bankruptcy

We already reported that all companies that once used Symbian's UIQ platform, have abandoned the Symbian UIQ company. Since Nokia announced that it will integrate UIQ's best parts into S60, it was obvious that the company behind UIQ was set to die.
