MU: Publishing in the Smartphone Era

According to research from Mintel, only 12% of the consumers in the UK own a smartphone. One of the reasons is that 30% of British consumers are only interested in the cheapest deal and it shows the smartphone market is still a minor one.

Nielsen: 27 Apps on Every US Smartphone

Nielsen has revealed that the average US smartphone has 27 apps installed. This average is mainly pushed up by Android and iOS where consumers have easy access to free apps and games.

Nova, Palm’s New OS

2008 seems the be the year of the OS. We've seen Symbian change hands, Symbian UIQ die, Android launch and hey, in the last second, good old Palm announces a new OS (which probably means they will ditch their old one).
