Intel and Samsung Present Tizen 1.0

Intel and Samsung have launched version 1.0 of the new Tizen operating system for smartphones. Tizen is a combination of MeeGo (once developed by Intel and Nokia) and Bada OS from Samsung. The whole system is based on the Linux kernel. Developers can start downloading the Tizen SDK’s, but have to realize there isn’t any Tizen hardware… yet.

Dropbox Alters iOS SDK Following Apple’s Complaints

Dropbox has announced changes to its SDK for iOS developers. The sudden update follows on the news that Apple disallowed several apps with the Dropbox SDK from entering the App Store.

Playstation Suite SDK Enters Beta

Following a closed beta late last year, Sony has made available the Playstation Suite SDK to the global audience. The suite allows developers to build apps for Playstation Suite certified devices like Playstation Vita, Xperia smartphones and tablets.

Sony Debuts Floating Touch Technology

Today, Sony introduced their new Xperia Sola smartphone. The device, running on a 1Ghz dual-core CPU and Android 2.3 (ICS upgrade coming) introduces a new technology to developers called Floating Touch.

Playstation Suite SDK in Open Beta Next Month

DirectCanvas HTML5 Tool Launches Android Beta

AppMobi has launched the beta version of its directCanvas tool. The tool helps developers to develop HTML5 apps and speeds up 2D rendering for games a thousand times (according to AppMobi).

Bolt SDK Released for in-app Browsing

AdMob to Support Windows Phone 7
