Various consumers and companies that have pre-ordered US iPads from outside the US are receiving e-mails from Apple canceling their orders in order to facilitate demand of real US consumers.

First Batch of iPads Sold Out

Apple has been taking on pre-orders for about two weeks now and it seems the company is hitting the end of their current supplies. Any new pre-orders will not ship before April 12th.
