Microsoft is to allow multitasking on Windows Phone 7 devices. Until now, multitasking was exclusive to Microsoft’s own apps, or apps that received permission from the consumer.

Skype Finally Ready for iOS 4

Skype has finally released an update of their VOIP software that allows for Skype to accept calls and chats while running as a background process on iOS.

The first new feature for the iPhone OS is the biggest. Multitasking will come to the iPhone though Apple will put some limitations in place to guarantee performance of the device.

Microsoft Reconsidering Multitasking on Phone 7

In an interview with Charlie Kindle from Microsoft, the exec announced to Dutch tech site tweakers.net that the strategy for multitasking isn’t fully set. There might be exceptions.
