Silverlight Hits Symbian

In the shadow of the Windows Phone 7 Series new, Microsoft has also released a beta version of Silverlight for Symbian. The Beta is aimed at touchscreen devices like the N97 and 5800 from Nokia.

GDC: Microsoft Presents XNA Game Studio 4.0

At the GDC, Microsoft took the time to announce their XNA Game Studio 4.0. This SDK is needed for all developers that like to release mobile games on Windows Phone 7 Series devices as well as the Zune and XBLA.

It turned out, Windows Phone 7 is now officially Microsoft’s answer to the iPhone. According to Microsoft VP Terry Myerson, the iPhone opened up the eyes of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile team.

Microsoft has demonstrated an early version of a mobile version of their Surface PC. The mobile surface computer is actually a mobile phone combined with a camera and a pico projector.
