Intel Drops MeeGo for Tizen

Following partner Nokia, Intel has now announced it is to abandon the MeeGo platform as well. Instead, it will be working on a new mobile platform with Samsung that’s called Tizen.

MWC: More Flash 10.1 Details Emerge

As most of you know, Flash Player 10.1 is set to replace Flash Lite on mobile phones to ease Flash development. At the MWC, Adobe announced more details about some of the 10.1 features.

LiMo Will be Vodafone’s Default OS

To further integrate their Vodafone 360 portal into the lives of consumers, the company has announced that all Vodafone branded handsets for the coming years will carry the LiMo OS.

LiMo Extends Partnerships

LiMo has announced that the company has signed up KDDI and Immersion to it's platform. This means 12 operators are now on the team. At the same time, the company also announced new phones.

LiMo Receives more Commitment from Operators

Good news for the LiMo foundation. Despite the fierce competition of Google's Android, six mobile operators have announced that they plan to launch mobile phones based on the LiMo platform.
