LG to Subsidize Windows Phone Apps

LG UK Shows Optimus 7 Ahead of Microsoft Announcements

Telstra is not the only company leaking device data today. LG UK wrote up a blog post showing the LG Optimus 7, their first Windows Phone 7 device. Shortly after the media picked it up, the company took the post down.

LG Shelves Tablet Plans due to Android 2.2

LG has announced that it will wait with the release of the Optimus Pad as it regards Android 2.2 unfit for use on a tablet computer. This is contradiction to competitors Samsung and Sharp that are launching a few of them.

LG Launches App Store

LG has officieally opened up their Applications Store for consumers. As the store is still in Beta, it launched ‘only’ in 23 countries excluding the United States and most of Europe.

iPad Rollout Might Face Delays due to Component Shortages

According to LG, the global iPad roll-out from Apple might be facing delays due to a shortage of components. LG can’t produce as much 9.7” capacitive screens as Apple can buy from them.

LG Signs Handster for Content

Handster Handster, an app store operator and provider, has signed a deal to provide its services to Korean mobile vendor LG. Handster will be providing games and content for Windows Mobile, J2me, Symbian and Android.
