Barely four months after Apple announced to have passed 2 billion downloads on its App Store, Steve Jobs has the pride to announce that the service passed three billion downloads this month.

Sony Works on iTunes Competitor

Sony is working hard to pick up the competition with iTunes. It already owns a digital sales channel called PSN (or Playstation Network) and it plans to expend it under the name of Sony Online Services.

Storm8 Games Pulled from App Store

Following the lawsuit story yesterday, several Storm8 games have been pulled from the App Store. In the US, only World War, Kingdoms Live and Vampires Live remained online.

Apple Moves into Stereotypes

When we opened up iTunes this morning, we noticed a new promotional page aiming specifically at Girls called “App Store Essentials: Apps for Girls”. With this theme, Apple is clearly supporting a stereotype view on the market.

App Store Passes 100K Apps & Games
