iPhone Trademark Issues in Switzerland

Apple Apple seems to have lost their legal fight to trademark the iPhone in Switzerland. Apple tried to file if for categories 9 (phones) and 28 but the local trademark authority said the name was too generic.

Glownight Pushes 16-in-1 Gamespack Onto iTunes

ShiVa 3D Gains iPad Support

Stonetrip Stonetrip has announced that ShiVa 3D, it’s 3D gaming and application development environment, will now support Apple’s iPad. The platform already supported the iPhone as well as Android and PC’s.

Nickelodeon Enters the App Store

Nickelodeon MTV has been active on the App Store for over a year already and now kids brand Nickelodeon is joining their big Music brother. This week, Nick announced to release 7 apps of which 6 are games.

Apple Acquires iPad Brand

Apple Apple has acquired the rights to the iPad brand from Fujitsu. Apple’s new toy has the same brand name as a device for Fujitsu which had been sold on the US market. The amount Apple paid is unknown.

Google Weldon Dodd of The Apple Blog has researched the SEO of the iTunes web preview pages compared to the homepages of various app developers. As it turns out, the web previews have a better placement in Google.
