Apple Acquires iPad Brand

Apple has acquired the rights to the iPad brand from Fujitsu. Apple’s new toy has the same brand name as a device for Fujitsu which had been sold on the US market. The amount Apple paid is unknown.

While downloading apps and even playing games are no big priorities for iPad buyers according to ComScore’s survey, 44% of the submitted apps for the iPad are actually games.

Bad news for early-bird mobile game developers that hope to monetize on the launch of the iPad. According to a survey from ComScore, consumers are not that interested in playing games on the device.

Apple Opens App Store for iPad

Starting last Friday, developers can start uploading their iPad apps to the app store. With a bit of luck, approval will be fast enough to have the apps available at the launch of the device.

iSimulate is the iPad Developer’s Best Pall
