iOS Products Important to Apple

In the past quarter, Apple sold 11% more products compared to the previous quarter. Though most product groups showed an increase in sales, desktop sales actually decreased.

Rovio Launches Angry Birds Free on App Store

Rovio has launched a new free version of Angry Birds on Apple’s App Store. The title competes directly with the Angry Birds and Angry Birds Lite versions licensed to EA owned publisher Chillingo.

OpenFeint Sees 187% Increase of Downloads over Christmas Holiday

OpenFeint recorded an increase in iOS app downloads over the Christmas holidays of 187%. Their Android portfolio has also started to pick up momentum as the company noticed an 73% increase on that platform.

Hudson Converts TurboGrafix Titles to iOS

Hudson has converted a range of old TurboGrafix-16 games into iOS games. The company made this move by releasing an official TurboGrafix emulator that provides access to the Hudson titles.
