Intel Capital has invested €10 million in Dutch developer Layar. The investment is meant to increase the number of products and services based on augmented reality.

AMD Joins MeeGo

It seems MeeGo is getting support from an unexpected side. Intel’s competitor AMD has announced it will help develop the mobile operating system, probably to help selling its new line of APU’s.

Nokia and Intel have set loose MeeGo 1.1 for the development community. Nokia does warn consumers not to install it as MeeGo 1.1 is still a work-in-progress operating system.

Google, Intel and Sony Developing Android TV

Google, Sony and Intel have announced to be working on set-top TV boxes that run Android. The service will probably be called Google TV though we could also understand Android TV or just YouTube.

Orange Supports MeeGo
