Asus Building Google’s Nexus Tablet!?

Digitimes reports that Asus is expected to be building Google very first tablet. If correct, this should be the Nexus Tablet and the device would have a seven inch capacitive touchscreen.

Google: Android Apps not Illegal

Google responded to Tweakers.net about the claims from EU commissioner Viviane Reding about Android apps illegally sharing data with advertisers. Google states the claim is wrong as Android doesn’t handle data the way Viviane explains it.

Android Market now Supports 4GB Apps

Google has made a major change to the filesize restrictions on Android Market. From now on, Google will allow apps that are 4GB in size. That’s four times the amount of space Google provides on the standard Nexus One.

Asus First with Android 5.0!?

Asus is likely the first vendor to start producing tablets based on the Android 5.0 platform. With the Transformer Prime, Asus was one of the first to launch a tablet based on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

MWC: Google Activates 850.000 Androids a Day

MWC: Intel Expands Smartphone Portfolio

Intel has announced new deals with vendors to develop smartphones and tablets based on Intel’s new System on a Chip line. Amongst them are operator Orange and paymentcompany Visa.

Android 5.0 Expected This Summer

Though lots of consumers are still waiting for their ICS upgrades, it seems Google is about to finish off work on Jelly Bean, or Android 5.0. It is rumoured that Google is not happy with ICS’ performance and that Jelly Bean is what the company actually had in mind for 4.0.

Motorola Purchase by Google on the Verge of Approval

Some months ago, Google announced its intentions to purchase Motorola. At that time, US and European authorities still needed to give approval for the takeover. If all goes right, Google should be getting some good news along the coming week as it will be allowed to spend its 12.500.000.000 on the acquisition.

Chrome Web Store Heading for Android ICS?
