Nickelodeon Enters the App Store

MTV has been active on the App Store for over a year already and now kids brand Nickelodeon is joining their big Music brother. This week, Nick announced to release 7 apps of which 6 are games.

44% of iPad Submissions are Games

While downloading apps and even playing games are no big priorities for iPad buyers according to ComScore’s survey, 44% of the submitted apps for the iPad are actually games.

Android Market Contains 30.000 Apps

In the past three months, Google has seen Android Market grow from 20.000 apps to 30.000. This means the channels has grown with about 3.333 app or 11% per month.

GDC: GameSpy Expands Mobile Strategy

Since March 2009, GameSpy has been offering multiplayer services on the iPhone. Though GameSpy is huge on PC and Console platforms, it didn’t enjoy the same popularity platforms like Crystal and Plus+ did.

According to a study from mPlayit, Android owners seem to be more interested in downloading applications then mobile games. Only 17% of the Android consumers are looking for games.
