China Finally Allows Google to Acquire Motorola Mobility

Following grants from the EU and US, China now also approved the acquisition of Motorola Mobility by Google. With this final approval in the pocket, Google can proceed with its plans to acquire Motorola Mobility for its IP and probably put the rest of Motorola Mobility back on sale ;-).

Chinese Developers Bypass Google Play

Though many Android developers rely heavily on Google Play, those in China seem to ignore Google’s app store. Instead, developers prefer to deliver the .apk files direcly to the consumer.

Flurry: China Leads in iOS and Android Activations

Early 2011, China ranked 10th when it came to registered app sessions. This year, the country already ranked second and next year… probably first as the county now activates the most iOS and Android devices.

Flipboard Partly Blocked in China

Flipboard har been pretty successful in China, partly because it was one of the few apps Chinese could use to access popular sites like Twitter and Facebook. Those have now been closed off.

Zeebo Console to Enter China

iPad Goes on Sale in South America and China
