Nokia Launches the First CDMA Lumia in China

Nokia has announced the launch of their new Lumia 800C in China. Needless to say, the 800C is the Chinese version of the Lumia 800 we all know since late last year. It is the first CDMA phone in the Chinese market running Windows Phone as well.

iPhone 4 CDMA Launches on Verizon, iPad to Follow

Starting next month, Verizon consumers can finally purchase the iPhone 4. February 10th will be the official launchdate for the CDMA version of the device. The device doesn’t support LTE however.

iPhone 4 Heading to DoCoMo and Verizon

Even through the devices continue to be plagued by hardware issues, the iPhone 4 keeps expanding world-wide. The newest operator to (unofficially) support the phone is NTT DoCoMo in Japan.

Qualcomm’s Brew Free for All

The past year, many smartphone platforms have gone open source, meaning that smartphones have become a lot cheaper to manufacture. To avoid losing marketshare to smartphone platforms, Qualcomm has decided to open up Brew and make it a free platform for dumbphones.
