NPD: Android Takes the Lead, Google: 200.000 New Androids a Day

NPD has announced that Android is the leading platform in the US. Google’s Eric Schmidt announced that the company is currently registering 200.000 new Android phones a day.

Nielsen: iPhone 4 Doesn’t Beat Android

RIM to Launch the BlackPad!?

Late last month, RIM bought the BlackPad domain. Though it was unclear if RIM would actually start development of an iPad like slate device, rumors say the company will actually launch it along November.

For the first time, the sales of Android powered devices overtook the iPhone sales in North America during the first quarter of 2010. Apple sunk only to the third position on the sales charts.

Privacy Conflicts Ahead With Mobile Spy for Android

Mobile Spy is a logger app that runs on the background of the OS and logs pretty much anything you’d like it to log. The app doesn’t identify itself which makes it nearly impossible for phone owners to know its there.

WES: BlackBerry App World Hits 1M/Day Downloads

During a RIM keynote at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium, Research In Motion co-CEO Jim Balsillie announced that BlackBerry App World is generating 1 million downloads a day, only 12 months after launch.
