Single Station Radio Apps Considered Spam by Apple

Bad news for companies whose business models are to release dedicated apps for internet radio stations. Apple started rejecting the first bunch of them on behalf of article 2.20 of the iOS App Review Guidelines.

Foxconn Upgrades iPad Production

Foxconn has opened up a second factory to produce iPads for Apple. The first factory (in Shenzhen) was able to produce 2.5 million units a month. This means Foxconn will be outputting around 7.5 million units in Q4 through this facility.

iOS 4.2 Rolls Out

Over 300 Developers Mixed OpenFeint with GameCenter

OpenFeint has announced that 300 developers now support both OpenFeint and Apple’s GameCenter in their apps and games. Openfeint’s userbase doubled since the introduction of GameCenter support.

iAd Coming to Europe (and Japan)

Apple has announced it will finally bring the iAd platform to Europe, only six months after (a rather slow) release in the United States. iAd will also be taken to Japan through Dentsu.

iOS 4.2 Rolling Out This Friday!?

Following the release of several iOS 4.2 apps for iPad on the App Store, it looks like consumers can start enjoying iOS 4.2 as of this Friday. The new iTunes should be launching by tomorrow.
