Google to focus at Cheap Tablets

During the presentation of Google’s financials, CEO Larry Page stated that Google will try to aim for cheaper tablets. Larry talked about the success cheap Android devices have. Even if they are not running Android in the way Google intended them to.

Google Play Adds Support for Czech, Israeli, Polish and Mexican Devs

Starting today, developers in Czech Republic, Israel, Poland and Mexico can sell priced applications and in-app products on Google Play, using their local bank accounts for payments. This move is part of Google’s effort to support more countries and currencies in Google Play.

Magma Mobile Passes 100 Million Downloads on Android

Sony’s SmartWatch Hits the States

Sony has released its SmartWatch in the US. The SmarWatch is a followup to the SonyEricsson LiveView and allows Android phones to send updates to it. In return, the SmartWatch can be used as a remote for mobile apps.

Intel Unveils Studybook Tablet for Emerging Markets

Intel has unveiled its new Studybook tablet. The 7” 1024×600 tablet is developed for emerging markets. It is water and shock-resistant (up to 70CM), cheap and will be running Windows 7 or Android OS.

Qualcomm Invests in BlueStacks App Player

BlueStacks, an emulator that allows PC users to launch Android apps on their personal computers, has attracted an investment from Qualcomm. The investment follows downloads of the player passing the 1 million mark.

RIM to Block Sideloading on PlayBook
