iPhone Ad Requests Surge over Christmas

Admob Admob has made new data available on the growth of the iPhone OS over the past Christmas period. Ad requests on the iPod Touch grew 96% week-on-week. For the iPhone this was just 12%.

AdMob: iPod Owners Still Lag Upgrades

Admob AdMob has posted new details on iPhone and iPod usage. Several months after the 3.0 release it seems most iPhone owners have taken the time to upgrade (97%), but iPod Touch owners stay behind (68%).

Admob adMob has been very successful on platforms like the iPhone, but Palm’s WebOS was still uncovered by the company. To support developers, the company released an open source SDK for ad invocation.

Admob Another monster acquisition was announced yesterday. Search giant Google has acquired Admob for a staggering $ 750 Million. The acquisition will boost Google’s advertising network further into mobile.

AdMob Allows Ad Aggregation (For Now)

Admob A few weeks back, AdMob announced that they planned to block access to their ad servers from remote ad aggregation services that are used by many (iPhone) developers. For now, those plans are on hold.
