Tag Games offers Money Back Guarantee

Tag Games does something new (or at least they are the first to shout
it out). The developer is offering a money back guarantee on any mobile
game.

The guarantee is based on meeting quality standards that are based on an objective scoring system that predefines quality based on pre-defined delivery objectives and external game analysis.

Managing director Paul Farley explained the rationale behind the scheme. “Tag has first-hand experience of the difficulties involved in a publisher or intellectual property owner selecting a trusted development partner. We realised that we could immediately and effectively reduce the risk to partners, from the development side of the equation.”

“Tag has worked very hard to build its reputation of delivering an outstanding service in terms of scheduling, budget and game-play quality. We are proud to be the first developer to offer a money back guarantee for partners using our mobile development service.”

“Creating mobile games is a complex and specialist process that often belies the seemingly simple nature of the end product. We are now supporting hundreds of devices, thousands of SKU’s, dozens of languages and a multitude of new technology features, such as full 3D visuals, multiple connectivity options, motion sensing and touch-screen controls. Tag Games provides a bespoke, end-to-end service which removes all of the barriers and risks for prospective clients. The combination of Tag’s skill, experience and capacity with the money back guarantee provides an unbeatable proposition!”

With this guarantee in mind, we ask Paul if such a guarantee might hurt the business when several projects fail in a short time period.

"We are extremely confident in our continued ability to create games with outstanding game-play, delivered on time, and to clear objectives. We will uphold our policy of only accepting development work where the schedule and budget are compatible with expected and achievable quality outcomes so this isn’t open season at Tag! In any case the money back element of a project budget is only be a proportion of the overall total so in the unlikely event we don’t deliver on our set targets the impact on our core business will be more in terms of reputation than finance. The guarantee is simply our way of putting our money where our mouths are!"
