T-Mobile has announced the launch of Softwareload.co.uk. The UK is the second market for T-Mobile to launch the mobile offering as it first needed to prove itself in the German market.
Softwareload supports apps for the BlackBerry, PalmOS, Symbian and Windows Mobile and allows consumers to download directly to their phones or to the PC for sideloading. Softwareload also provides consumers a 12 month guarantee on apps so they can install them on a replacement phone when needed.
“Consumers and business people alike are using mobile devices far more often for work or entertainment on the move. As a result they’re demanding wider access to exciting new apps to make the most of their mobiles,” said Dirk Lebzien, Head of Softwareload. “With the launch of our UK mobile store on Softwareload.co.uk, shoppers can choose from more than 15,000 software titles that they can quickly and securely install onto their mobile device.”
In Germany, Softwareload has registered 1.5 million users to date. The most popular apps are communication tools, Travel and Holiday apps.
