Tecmo is a small name in the mobile gaming market. Fair enough, the mobile games they presented at the E3 back in 2005 where the worst I had seen that year. Now, Square prepares to acquire the company.
Through the acquisition, the Square-Enix Holding will gain the rights to Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, a few of the biggest franchises in fighting games for traditional consoles. Last week, Tecmo president Yoshimi Yasuda left the company, but that would have nothing to do with the possible acquisition.
