Though subscription based mobile gaming never really took off for i-mode, Sprint has now started the first US subscription based mobile gaming channel.
The channel is currently occupied by EA Mobile who launched several titles that consumers can download for a low monthly charge. The channel launched with Sudoku, Mini Golf, Mahjong, Hearts and Blue Blocks, meaning a lot of the bigger EA franchises are missing at the moment, but more games will be launched soon. The Sprint Arcade subscription retails at $ 9,99 a month.
