Until recently, Spill Games’ mobile activities have been mainly limited to Flash games. With the release of Uphill Rush 2, that is changing as the company has chosen to release the game on the App Store.
Spil Games is a huge name in the online games market where it owns a lot of the major portals. In China, the company started with Flash game portals for mobile phones and recently it started to do the same for the English demographic.
According to Peter Driessen, CEO and cofounder of SPIL GAMES, the reintroduction of the hit game for this platform is a bonus for the company and gamers alike. “Playsoft [a worldwide leader in mobile content services] and our game developers worked very hard to revamp Uphill Rush 2 for the iPhone and iPod touch,” said Driessen. “Now, with the new Facebook leaderboards, onscreen controls, and most of all, the built-in accelerometer effects for jumping and doing stunts, fans can expect an entirely new gameplay experience.”
