South Korea to Block Android Market

March 15th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

South-korea Google landed itself in a conflict with South Korea because of the games on Android Market. By law, all games sold on the South Korean market need to be approved by the Game Ratings Board.

Apple landed itself in the same problems and has avoided breaking the law by offering an App Store without mobile games in it. It seems Google has chosen a different route as it is planning to get all games reviewed by the board (that’s all 4.400 of them!).
