Following the massive hack in which hackers managed to get hold of millions of PSN useraccount, including their passwords, Sony announced it will be re-activating the PSN and Qriocity networks coming week.
As an incentive, PSN users will receive 30 days of free access to Playstation+. This promotion will allow gamers to download a lot of free content, including several Mini’s titles.
To prevent this from happening again, consumers will have to download a new firmware version that will let them change their passwords (we hope they are encrypted this time). Furthermore, Sony installed more firewalls and intrucion detection systems. It will also hire a CIO to guard the networks.
