Sony Pictures has announced the release of God of War: Betrayal on the mobile phone which takes the player beyond where the storyline stopped on the Playstation 2.
The press release was sent to us in combination with the a demo (click here) which allowed us a quick look at the game. Though we never played the actual God of War beyond the Playstation 2 demo, the mobile version (as to be expected) is pretty much different in gameplay. For those that do not want to try the demo, it is a platform game more or less like Gameloft’s Prince of Persia, allowing the regular, running, jumping and sword fighting combo’s.
“We are committed to bringing to market innovative mobile properties and the launch of God of War: Betrayal is testament to that dedication,” said Eric Berger, vice president of mobile entertainment, Sony Pictures Television. “By bringing this popular Sony Computer Entertainment America title to Verizon Wireless customers, we will both expand the franchise to gamers on the mobile platform, and provide a thrilling and satisfying gaming experience to the existing God of War fans.”
