Sony Enables Minis on PS3

December 9th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: PSP Minis | 2 Comments »

Sony-psp-minis Consumers worldwide will be able to take their purchased minis games to the big screen with the soon to be released ‘and optional’ 3.15 patch for their Playstation 3 consoles.

To achieve this, Sony has included an emulator in the patch that will scale-up graphics. Because it’s an emulator, Sony will not guarantee that pre 17-12 games will work on the PS3, but all new releases will. Sony will also discuss with developers to patch their minis for PS3 usage if needed.

No, the license is attached to your identity. So you should be able to play them for free. I haven’t tested it yet though.
